Kayla Barclay O'Hern was born in Metairie, Louisiana, in August of 1984. Her parents are Tim and Tammy Barclay of Magnolia, Mississippi, and she is the second of three daughters. Kayla and her family moved from Louisiana to Mississippi in 1992 and have remained there since. Kayla graduated from Parklane Academy in 2002 and from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science with Licensure (including a minor in chemistry), Kayla taught both jr. high and high school science at Parklane Academy for three years before the birth of her daughter in 2008.
Kayla married Jason O'Hern in August of 2004, and they currently reside in Magnolia, Mississippi, with their daughter, Callie. Kayla has enjoyed photography as a hobby for many years and is now looking forward to gaining more experience and sharing her passion of capturing life's moments. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, being outdoors, and meeting new people. She is currently a Design Specialist for Moon Pie Designs and is working to expand her photography business.
